Things to Know about JEE Advanced

In 2022, the JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Bombay. JEE Main session 2 result was announced on 8 August 2022. Those in the top 2.5 lakh of the JEE Main exam rank list are eligible to attend the JEE Advanced exam. Compared to JEE Main, the JEE Advanced exam is challenging. Candidates should be aware of the important dates of the JEE Advanced exam.

The exam is expected to be conducted on 28 August 2022. The online registration have started on 8 August 2022. Students have to complete the JEE Advanced registration before 11 August 2022. The last date for the fee payment for the JEE Advanced exam is 12 August 2022. Students eligible for the JEE Advanced are required to do the registration without fail. Registration Procedure

Students are advised to visit the official site of JEE Advanced for registration. They have to enter the JEE Main 2022 credentials. Then they have to set a new password. After completing this process, students can log in to the registration page. On this page, they have to fill in their personal information, educational qualification, etc. They can select their choice of language and their desired exam centres. Also, they have to upload signatures and photographs in the given format. Fees paid will not be refunded.

Documents for Registration

Following are the documents required for the JEE Advanced exam registration.

  • Mark sheets of 10th grade
  • Mark sheets of 12th grade
  • Colour photograph of the candidate
  • Scanned copy of left-hand thumb impression of the student, along with their full signature.

Note that the 12th grade mark sheet is applicable for students who have already appeared in their board exams in the previous years. A caste certificate is required for those who belong to ST/SC and OBC categories. Foreign candidates have to present their passport and citizenship certificate.

Preparation Tips

Since the JEE Advanced exam is considered one of the toughest exams in India, it needs hard work and proper planning to crack this exam. The application form can be filled out online. It involves 4 steps, namely exam registration, filling in personal and academic details, uploading the documents and payment of the application fee. Fees can be paid online or offline. Students are not permitted to edit the application form once submitted. So they should be very careful while submitting the form because any errors may result in rejection of the application.
